'THE ESSENCE OF BELIEF'
I guess that before you get into these articles, an illustration re. what God has done may help.
Today, within much of the Christian world, one is likely to be led to believe that God provided a 'New' Salvation Arrangement, to be found within the 'New Testament' Gospels. And therefore, all that had gone before with the Israelites of old, has been put aside - Including the Law given them.
This is Not the case and I would illustrate it this way. God's revelation regarding Salvation, can be likened to a house. Jewish people are living on the Ground Floor, for they have, and some at least take seriously, the Foundational 'stuff' - The Law - [Torah, God's written-out Value System and Blueprint for Living.] Christians live on the upper floor. They have the knowledge of - Forgiveness of Sins!
Both groups need what the other has, but few of each 'group' possess both treasures!
The Book of Ruth, speaks of one who became a Kinsman-Redeemer. Messiah is one such, made like us.
The Jewish people need to know that forgiveness, [Yeshua/Salvation] has been provided for them and experience the reality of this. If they do so the Whole 'House' is theirs; whereas Christians need
to 'go downstairs' to where the Requirements of God are found within the 'Old Testament!'
For, 'Jesus' [Yeshua/ Salvation,] didn't instruct His followers to go around getting people forgiven so that they could go and 'retire' in Heaven. As Heaven, in the form of "ImmanuEl" [God - with us]
is instead, Returning to us. Prophecies such as Exodus 15: 17&18; Ezekiel Chapter 43:7 and Revelations Chapters 21 & 22 in fact reveal this, as discussed within - "Is God Moving House?"
Morover, it is our conviction that the 'New Testament' is neither anti-Semitic nor anti-Torah, for it demonstrates the Outworking of God's Covenants with His ancient people, just as many 'Old Testament' scriptures such as Isaiah 49:6, speak regardingthe whole of humankind.
Yeshua, just as did Moshe [Moses] and the other prophets before Himself, explained and demonstrated how to live in a manner Obedient to His System of Values - Torah - The 'Lord's Song,' thereby pleasing our Creator. Yeshua actually enabled and still enables this, through His sacrifice and the work of the Spirit of God; whilst His apostles also instructed His followers to disciple others so that they/we could be ready for the Coming Age. Perhaps even to have a role establishing - The Kingdom of God on earth - "Paradise," which will be ushered in when He returns.
We trust that our articles will help not only 'believers', but any who are seeking the Face of God. [Likewise, the Q's, A's, & Comments.] Moreover, There is a Promise that we can 'hang our hats' on:
